Which would you choose: Guild Wars or WoW?

I own both. Personally I cannot stand Guild Wars, I really regret buying it. I obviously love WoW since I have a 60 character and another I'm working on.

To each his own obviously, but Guild Wars felt very empty to me. The graphics are nice, and the concept is good, but there wasn't one thing about it that actually compelled me to take away my free time that I was using on WoW.

well, think about this, after a year (maybe longer) you think people will still pay the monthly fee to play WoW? with GW on the other hand, you can always play it for free. you might see thousands of people in WoW, but lets see how many of them will be around later.

no monthly fees on GW, but aren't they planning on releasing $50 expansions every few months to raise the level cap?

Where'd you get this $50 stuff from? I doubt the price of the Exp. Packs will be > $30.

I own both. Got tired of WoW just like every other massive ever created and now I'm on GW. It's a lot like Diablo and that's definately not a bad thing in the sense that it is very easy for me to just log in for 15-20 minutes and quit. In that respect it is somewhat like a console game.
