Which would be better?

I'd go with the P5Q Premium since it has the 4 Ethernet ports and the ADI sound card and currently has a $30 mail in rebate.

The ASUS Maximus ][ Formula seems to have fewer features besides the SoundMAX X-Fi sound card and costs more.

Are either of these P45 boards crossfire compatible? Or is Crossfire limited to X38, X48 and now X58 on Intel motherboards?

lol yeah i said the same thing, it still a tough decision between these two boards though, very tough, has anandtech done a comparisons chart somewhere between these two boards? Not specifically but a benchmark comparisons across severall boards that include these two???
 
Neither.
Instead I would get P5E Deluxe
Its an X48, which is faster in crossfire and non crossfire. This is also the exact same board as the rampage except for the bios and cooling.
