Which would be better buy p4 or celeron?

Hey I'm building a Shuttle SS51G system for a friend and they want the Celeron 2.66ghz chip, or their other choice is the p4 1.8a chip, they both are the same price locally, which one would be better for him, he just plays cs and wc3, and watchs DVD's thats it, and its for his school work/music for his dorm room. Whch would be a better buy?

nope not even close, keep the P4 1.8ghz.

Celeron should not be considered if you are a member of Anandtech.



A 1700+ ( stock ) will be out a 1.8 in most test..
