Hi,
for the last 4 months i have been using WindowsXP Professional and find it to be a stable OS, but its full of very annoying bugs.

so should i install win 2k instead? whats the speed difference between the two in games?

can i install win 2k over XP?

if i had it set up as a dual boot while i got used to 2k, how would i then remove XP? would i delete the XP directory and then the boot options thing in 2k.

if i installed it over XP (assuming it would work), would it keep all of my settings and documents? if not, if i used the file and settings transfer wizard in XP, would i be able to transfer the settings to 2k?

will all my game work on it? Like Q3 baced, Unreal baced, GTA3, Red Alert ect; and future games like doom3 and ut2003

thanx in advance

First, you can not install 2k over XP. It's an older os. Second, what bugs are you talking about? 2K and XP are both based off the same kernel, so speed will probably be real close. Compatibility seemed a little better to me in XP(older games). I would wait for sp1 to come out, and make your decision then. BTW 2k should be just as good at future games as XP.

the bugs are not being able to access the advanced driver propeties on my video card unless i use version 21.85, GTA3 has a keyboard problem, rollercoaster tycoon not working and lots of other bugs
