If you want stability, and driver support, W2K is seasoned and does not require "phone home". Xp has drivers up the wazzo,hence the OS issomewhat bloated,but that just takes up more HDD space. The OS still boots faster then W2K.
Me is not the crap others have been saying. When installed properly, it works quite well. I do not recommend WinME as an upgrade, only a clean install. Most who experince problems with ME are the ones who did an upgrade.
All in all, I give a thumbs up for W2K Pro, and a hmmmmmm for XP, although I am using XP Pro now and I've grown quite fond of the functionality. A bit of a learning curve getting all things set to work the way I want it to, but that goes with the territiry. I'm a 52 year old geek.
Edit: On second thought, since you have admitted to obtaining an illegal copy of the OS , Why don't you leave while you have a chance? If you need support, call 1 800 RU legit.
