I have decided to move my computers to Windows 7 from Win XP Pro. BTW, I do plan on increasing the RAM from 2 gig to at least 4 for the laptop and 8 for the desktops. Which version of Windows 7 do you recommend?

I use my computers for everything except Gaming.

If you need Remote Desktop (server) support, or Domain Joining, or want more than 16GB of RAM or more than a single-socket CPU, then go Pro. Otherwise, Home Premium should be fine.

I'm currently using Home Premium (family pack), but I'm thinking of upgrading my machines, to ones with 32GB of RAM, so in that case, I would have to go Pro.
