I drove it 1,000 miles since I got it :(

Start with the RacePrecision scoops, they're reasonably priced but have the highest mod price/performance ratio for these cars.

I saw that. I am shocked at the results, especially when an intake and exhaust do pretty much nothing for the car.

Of those choices I'd pick 3, as 2 is fugly and 1 is too blingy.

There isn't much I can do. The brakes require at least 18" wheels. My current 18's barely clear the calipers.

What's wrong with the stock wheels? I think I like those the best. I can understand the desire to replace the wheels and know that there is probably a good reason that you want to do it, I'm just curious.

I voted option one in the poll but I wasn't sold on them. I've changed my mind to option 3 as that's one of my favorite wheel styles.

90% of the time I love OEM rims, but not in this case. Something about them irks me. Plus they are a PITA to clean in a few spots. :p

I think I am going with choice #3, Rial Nagaros. Tire Rack has them in stock so I will go out and pick them up tomorrow! :D

Yeah, very similar to what was seen with the M5/M6. Most systems show a loss when dyno'd properly (with hood down). Those are the only ones showing a substantial gain.

Fair enough. I think the stock wheels look good, but if you want to upsize it, it's your call.

The roads around here are so bad that I've already gotten two impact breaks with 15" wheels on my car, so that's part of the reason that I tend to be leery of the big stuff.

The ECU is pretty insane, from what I have read it is for the sake of the greenies. :(

Hrm, could be. I know with the S85, the issue with the ECU is the tuning is already pretty maxed (in terms of timing, A/F, etc). The most aftermarket tuners were able to squeeze out in 500hp mode was a few hp on the dyno (or up to 48hp on the brochure).

I picked up choice three this afternoon at Tirerack's Indiana warehouse. I cannot say enough good things about this company. On the wall was this story. Very interesting was that as I was reading it the owner of the company walked by. He was in the mounting area running invoices! And his wife was doing the same, along with at least one of the sons. Very cool to see people that powerful doing the work that keeps the business going.

They also had a Corvette and BMW club there autocrossing on their track.

BTW, the guy who mounted my tires is a nephew of the family.

Nice, i can't tell but is the finish the same for the rims you got and the one in your example picture? Not sure if it's the lighting but the ones on the gray Z4 look a bit gun-metalish. Regardless, i think it looks great.

I was not a huge fan of the design. Had the tires been top notch I would have overlooked it, but the stock Conti's SUCK.

shit damn, that's a nice ride. wheels and fenders and everything!

It took a long time for the design to grow on me. The pre-2006 cars really did not have enough of an aggressive look. I think that the M bumpers fix that pretty well. Now I am in love with the lines. Washing it is nearly orgasmic :p.

They are darker than stock, but lighter than they look in the photo. The finish is "Bright Satin with Machined Lip", whatever that means :p.
