Which way should I point my pencil in my pocket

Now that I am back to school again I have been faced with a interesting problem on how to carry pencils. If I have them facing down in the pocket of my pants I risk stabbing off one of my balls with a sharpened pencil point. But if I have the pencil facing upwards I risk stabbing myself in my hand. Unfornately both I have had both things happen to me. So which one is less risk, having the pencil facing upwards or downwards?

Please note that I hate using mechanical pencils or pens and my pants pocket is the only place I have to store the pencils. Don't forget the poll.

What kind of pants are you wearing that the bottom of the pocket is on your balls? My pants pocket is halfway down my thigh... Do you just have really dangly balls? Maybe you should tie them back instead.
 
I can't put in my backpack because I usually don't lug it around with my everywhere and I need to have easy access to write stuff down when I am in a rush. My ears are shaped such that I can't hold pencils in them without them falling out. I don't own a TMNT backpack right now nor do I have a pocket protector.
 
Quit using ancient pencils, start using one of those fancy lead dispensing pencil contraptions. No more ball stabbing, problem solved.

I take paypal if you want to reward my awesomeness with money. Just give me whatever you have left after you buy some of those delightful lead dispensing pencils.
 
As I stated in the original post pens and mechanical pencils are not an option. I need the feeling of a long hard piece of wood between my fingers to be able to write properly.
 
Tie string to pencil, then tie string to belt loop. Let the pencil dangle. Watch for looks of affection and wonder from the ladies.

Well in that case, just keep one hand on your penis, while you write with the other. Or write with your penis; it may smell a little funny, but it will give you that feeling you need.

people will usually only ask once to borrow a pencil from you as well. If they ask more than once, watch your cornhole dude.
