I have a kt7-raid. it has two rows of pins for the little connectors for the power switch, HDD LED, reset button, etc. what way do these go in? the manual shows which end is positive, but I can't tell which side of the connector is the positive side. the connectors do have a little arrow on one side, but according to the manual for the case (an antec sx830), the labeled sides of the connectors should be facing the front of the case. I'm wondering if they're in right because for some reason the computer won't turn off, the power switch turns on but won't turn off.

the connectors from your case are pretty generic, the white or black wires are usually the ground (negative), and the colored wires are the positives...

When it comes to LEDS its usually easy to tell. Check the power and hdd leds. They should have a common color wire (maybe white or yellow). The common color is always negative.

The polarity of the switch connectors doesn't matter what-so-ever.

The connectors for the LED's usually follow the colored wire = positive, white wire = negative rule. The motherboard manual should tell you which pin is positive. Some motherboards are labeled right next to the pins too.

I would bet that if you held down the power button for more than 5 seconds, the power would go off. This is a feature on some motherboards that prevents accidental shut down.

If your power button isn't behaving like you want, chech in the BIOS under power management. Some motherboards have different settings that control what the power button does.
