RIG thus far
Gigabyte DS3 (shipping)
conroe 6600 (shipping)
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) (C4) (waiting)
zalman 9500LED (had since august)
seagate 320g HDD (had since august)
antec sonata II case with 450w PS (had since august)

Last remaining component is the vid card which I am really struggling particularly with HDCP on the horizon and directx10 cards coming out.
FWIW, monitor is 21" gateway WS and is HDCP compliant
plan for gaming (casual) with AOEIII, WOW, oblivion.

any thoughts on a vid card? Cant really wait but I don't want to feel like I wasted my money.
been looking in the $150-200 range. have seen 7900GS, x1950pro among others.

***edit: Did a little more homework. this thread is helpful

NVIDIA 7900GS with an Arctic Cooling NV Silencer FTW. Near-silent, great OC capability, very cheap, good resell value, and it eats current games for breakfast. eVGA would be my choice on manufacturer since it'll probably be cheaper than the alternatives.

How would the cards perform with games like Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, and the games in the next 6 months?
