Which Video Card to buy ($200 or less)

I would like to buy a new video card to replace my old ATI 8500 All in Wonder. I have been looking for a 9800 Pro, as they seem to be the best card for the money right now. I have had trouble finding a 256 bit version that is not over 200. Newegg has just got the Rosewill brand in stock for 189 + shipping. I have never heard of this brand before. Does anyone have any experience with this video card. There are so many versions of this model out there I want to make sure I don't get screwed with a scaled down version. I am also interested in modding the card to an XT if possible as I have heard this is pretty easy.

Also - is this the best card for the money right now??

Thanks

I'd have to say the 6600GT AGP for around $220 is the best card for the money right now its a little over your budget but is much faster than a 9800pro

Edit: Here is the cheapest 6600Gt on Newegg here

I think a 6600GT isn't bad but I guess the AGP one is a bit higher than your budget. 9800Pro is a very nice card, but I can't seem to find the one you're talking about an Newegg. The Rosewill they have is 269 bucks, and isn't in stock.

About modding, I don't know about the older cards but remember, the modding everyone is talking about today concerns the X800 series.

If you would be willing to spend a little bit more, you should pick up the BFG 6800OC from outpost.com for $249 (if its still in stock). Also CompUSA had the PNY 6800nu on their site recently for $230 with a $30 MIR. A 6800nu beats both those cards hands down, and you also take the chance of unlocking the extra 4 pipes and 6th vertex shader, which would drastically improve performance.

The way I see it, 9800 pros are overpriced and the AGP 6600gts still havent dropped to their MSRP price of $199. Either way I say hold out to see if the $199 6800 comes back or spend a little more money and get the BFG one from outpost.
