Unless you really want GLide support, or prefer the excellent 2D quality of the V4 I wouldnt bother with it at all. I will give it credit for a FSAA implementation that offered very nice image quality and respectable performance though.
Still, now that 3dfx is gone compatibility with more recent games is very poor and the GF2 MX will easily outperform it. Even upon initial launch the V4's performance was quite unimpressive, and it's feature set was similarly lacking in many respects.
