Which Video Capturing software with a WinTV Card?

Hey guys, i'm wondering which video capturing software i should use for my WinTv Card? I want to capture my home videos from my Hi8 camcorder to my computer, then convert to dvd format. Did any of you ever do this? The only software i have now is Ulead VideoStudio 5 that came with my audigy2, seems to be working fine with the exception that when it captures, the file is enormous. Any suggestions highly appreciated!
