Which video capture card/device is best (for me)?

I have a Sony ccdtrv87 handycam that I would like to connect to my pc for video and still capture. (It's analog Hi8mm, not digital). It has s-video out which I would prefer to use since this type of connection provides the better picture as opposed to composite video connections (so I've heard). I have an available PCI slot as well as USB for connectivity and run Win2k.

I have looked at the following possibilities:
VoodooTV 100/200 - iffy since 3dfx is no more!
Dazzle USB Digital Photo and Video Maker - a possibility, especially at $99. link
Ati All-in-Wonder line - a possibility, but if I get a new video card, I think I'd rather get the Asus (see next item).
Asus V7700 deluxe 32mb - a possibility as my current video card is a V3-2000agp, but quite pricey at $200+. link

Is audio carried through the s-video connection as well? (I assume not since it's not called 's-video/audio') If not, how do I record the sound with the video I capture if using s-video? Via the soundcard?

Which of the above mentioned products do ya'll recommend, or any others you've used before?

As you can see, I'm quite new to the video capture arena, so any help is greatly appreciated!😕😀
