Which version of ICQ has the best feature/bloat ratio?

I'm stumped on which one to grab right here.

99b didn't have much more bloat than 99a. Any version of 99 is decent though, that's when they started 450+ character messages. As I recall, 99a had quite a few bugs, hence its alpha versioning.

If they had 98 with the larger character messages that'd mad cool.

Thanks for the page though! Everytime I'd format I'd have a hell of a time finding 98a and each time it got harder and harder.

i use 99b and am very happy with it

ICQWebbie. It's a Java applet with NO bloat. Heck, you don't even have to install anything.

I just hope that they keep it, seeing as how it is an "alpha" release.

AIM Express is also Java/web-based.
