Basically the only differences between the current LS1 and LS6 are heads, cam, & PVC system.

and didn't they change the exhaust too? I don't know for sure...

Yeah, the z06 has a more free flowing exhaust, but I was just comparing engine to engine.

i see.. either way it's a 350 just with different engine components :)

Nope, their both 346's ;)

and how do you explain that difference? magical fairy dust? they're due to differences in the heads, cam, and PVC system.

Don't you mean PCV system?

And how would that free up more power?

Back in the mid-sixties Chrysler built some special Hemi engines, just in case NASCAR certified the Ford SOHC 427 to be legal to race. These Hemi engines were 4 valve per cylinder, DOHC. Since the Ford engine was not certified, the upgraded Hemi was never released to anyone, although at least one is known to be in the hands of a Mopar collector.

LS6 has a different: CAM, Pistons, Heads, Intake Manifold, PCV moved to the valley, IIRC 28lb injectors over 26, stronger valve springs, CAM, the MAF comes off the 6.0 liter and I think they also use the 6.0 liter Coils (ASA).. there might be a few more but those are the biggins

Anyone who knows better just buys a lit of stuff for the 2001+ LQ4/LQ9 instead of the premium for LS6 parts
