I have a hard time telling the G37 is even a 'vert with the top up. I thought it looked pretty good.

The IS is weird, though. Probably because that car just doesn't look right as a coupe.

The '08 Mustang will have the V6 4.0L engine, not a horrible choice but an engine designed for small truck usage and only outputs 200HP, kinda weak for a 4.0L

Did you get Merc's CLK verts in the states?

The Sebring got a case of the uglies which has been getting worse and worse with every model year. My father used to have a 2002 or so model, which still looked quite nifty, but the two major revisions since are just unbearably ugly.
Now he's got an E cabrio. That's probably still outside your budget.

The camaro convertible is also supposedly a four-seater.

Good points about the hard top convertibles and with the sports my kids do I'd need some trunk space. The Mustang is a nice looking car and we do have a Ford dealer nearby

Stang vert. I had a 99 GT vert and backseat was fine. The new ones are about the same for space. If your buying pre '12 model, you NEED to buy a V8. Otherwise, you WILL regret your purchase. The old V6 was a turd.

Otherwise I would consider soft cloth Jeep. More utility and camping is a breeze. Nowadays I would consider something along those lines than a normal convertible.
