I have been looking for a TV card to put into my computer. I have a geforce 2 gts video card and a p3 setup. I am not really familiar with these cards but think that having one would be really nice. Maybe ATI TV wonder?? or any others??? LMK

Go with a pinnaclesys pctv card. The ATI cards capture in a propritary .avi format that requires other machines with out ATI cards to have the correct codec installed. The Pinnaclesys cards will work in VirtualDub.

look here

This will give you pause and replay, which would be nice.

I have this card minus the pause\replay. It works fine. Don't know how much this new card costs.

LOL, try to call tech support for Pinnaclesys. They are great, unless you have trouble. If you have trouble, forget recieving help.

I bought the TV Wonder PCI card. Don't buy it, it is disappointing (in everything but picture quality, where it is simply amazing)

At Computers4Sure.com I noticed several different models of the Hauppauge Win-TV PCI card. One sells for around $128 and states it is cable ready and provides Dolby Pro Logic surround sound. A cheaper model sells for about $90 and says it just offers stereo sound. Now, since Dolby Pro Logic is really just the surround and center and subwoofer channels decoded from stereo sound, why is there any reason to buy a more expensive card if you have an SB Live! Platinum 5.1 or Stereo system which performs Dolby Pro Logic decoding? Any suggestions would be helpful.

zsir would you find the pause and play a nice feature?? or wouldn't it really matter?? Also does your particular model do all the video capture and stuff like that?

yeah thats a bit of an overkill for watching TV...

i just ordered a WINTV PCI model 404... it's a cable ready 125 channel tuner w/ remote... the best thing... i only paid $50:)

all you have to do is call staples at 1-800-3STAPLES and pricematch staples.com WIN TV to onvia.com WIN TV at that point you can throw a $20 off $50 coupon found at techbargains.com it sounds like a lot of work.. but takes ~5 minutes of time:) if you don't want to go thru the hassle of saving $17 you can order it directly from onvia.com:) and if you don't want the remote.. they have the WIN TV-GO for only $44WIN TV-GO $44

not sure about that pinnacle card... i do know i had a slight problem with my WINTV card. it had the balls to make me switch it's PCI slot with the modem... after that, all was good:)

BTW, i can't say i'm surprised.... considering i do have 6 cards in this A7V, which is everything filled minus AMR slot:) (video/modem/sound/scsi/network/tv)
