Which to use?

I'm getting an Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 and 8 gigs of Mushkin DDR3 RAM to use with my Phenom II 720 BE. For the time being I'll be using on board video. There are three 1TB drives and an IDE optical drive or two. The exhaust fan is 120mm and intake is 3x80mm. The heat sink fan is also 120mm.

I'm going to use either an Antec SU-430 or a CoolerMaster RS-460-PSAR-J3.

Which would be a better choice?

Thanks, Barry

Doesn't really matter which PSU. Both have adequate power and 12v rails for your plans. Neither is exceptionally high quality. Both are pretty standard units.

I assume you have both lying around and will just pop one in? Just pick one.

Yep, both are just laying about. Also still have the clear cased Aspire that was in the tower. Will probably pop that one into something else. (Thought the Aspire was a Logisys. Memory not as good as the label!)

The Antec is probably a bit better quality unit than the CoolerMaster.
Throw the Perspire...I mean Aspire unit in the trash before it dies a painful death and takes out some of your components.

Ahh, Boomer, good to hear from you again. Now you know from this and my other thread what's going on.

The items are here. Now have to figure out how to retrieve Outlook.pst and a few documents. Wonder if I can initially start it in safe mode to accomplish this.

Must go assemble items.
