im using an xp 1600+, and have all these heatsinks in my possesion. Which one do You think i should keep and why? I dont know if i want to test them all myself.

I would like to know this answer too! I am already getting a SK-6 from the FS/T forum. But I am still considering the SVC-GC68 or the Volcano 7 (though I kinda ruled the V7 one out already) as well. This is for a similar rig as gdawson6, XP 1800+ though. So would someone give some opinions on these five coolers...

PAL8045, Sk-6, HHC-001, Volcano 7, SVC GC68

The Alpha without any doubt! You can put a super fast fan on it for the ultimate in cooling, or you can put on a quiet fan and be silent with good temps!

Keep the PAL8045! I know that the inner core which is copper and that the Alluminium fins are the cool ticket. I have lots of buds in the pc business and they have tried several. The Alpha's seem to work the best. Get a good fan and you have the (no pun here) Hot setup! Good Luck in your choice. Hope this helps! My Rigs 😀

The alpha is the best at cooling of those you mentioned but remember you'll have to remove your mobo to install it.

Next up is the HHC-001 of those mentioned and then the sk6. With those you don't have to remove your mobo and they still cool very well. The V7 would be a last resort choice. However if you mean the V7+ then it's very good. Of the ones mentioned I'd chose the HCC-001 because it's far easier to install and remove.

im either gonna sell the alpha and go with the ax-7, go with the alpha, or use an 80mm on the sk-6 or hhc-001.
