I searched newegg for cards with the Ti4200 chipset, and there are SO many of them. Is there anything specific I should be looking for? I'm not particularly interested in extras like TV-out.

I liked my MSI Ti4200
excellent retail bundle, and the MSI 128MB version got rated one of the highest overclocks for a TI4200 card. they are also not expensive.
choice is clear... :D

I have a MSI G4 4200 128mb card, it runs great, I can overclock it to 594/300, compared to the normal 447/250 speeds, I just broke 13000 witht this card in 3dmark01. The bundle is great, NOLF, Sacrifice, and Aquanox are nice games, the DVD software is also decent. A good buy!

I'll add another "w00t" for the MSI Ti4200. Awesome bundle, a new TV-out chip so you don't have to stay with the 40.72s, and mad overclock potential. :D

Minimal? I don't like the word minimal. How about none? Yeah, I like that better.

that is correct.
i have the 4x version of this card, and if i had to spend $1 more for 8x, i wouldn't.
you also need an agp8x mobo too.. so its kinda useless.

Here's a review

The Albatron is good..the primary video cards I use in systems are Asus, Albatron and MSI... they are all fantastic.

oh well, this card wouldn't run Doom3 worth crap really anyhow.. heh

AGP 8X as a WHOLE maybe when Doom3 comes out, but for this card, doesn't matter I am sure.
I ran the demo on my TI4200 and it was like 4 fps.

My friend just got an MSI 4200 and it runs really nice. It also comes with an overclocker slider so its super easy to overclock.
