Which Ti4200 Should I Get?!?!

I've basically decided to go with a GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB, but now I'm having trouble decide which one!

The only thing that I definitely need is digital DVI to output to my LCD. Excellent DVD playback would be nice. A good TV-Out would be nice, but not really necessary. I was reccomended the "gold" Chaintech GT21, but I'm thinking that might be a little overkill.

Any ideas? Otherwise I'm just going to go with the Chaintech...

Hi,

avoid the Aopen Aeolus Ti4200, if you want to do overclocking. I know at least two boards, that overclock quiet badly. If overclocking is not of interest for you, then the card maybe interesting for you, because the feature/software/price is very good. It has DVI, analog and Video in as well as a video editing software and the video in cables.

If you are a hardcore overclocker, the Asus 8420 deluxe maybe interesting for you, as it comes with 3.3ns Ram (instead of 4ns, 600Mhz Ram should be no problem). Unfortunately this card is more expensive than even most Ti4400, because the RAM is faster and it has a lot of features (like shutter glasses etc) you have to pay for.

A good compromise for the gamer/overclocker seems to be the MSI. Cheap and a good overclocker as well.

Hope that helps
Cheers Speedy

For overclocking the Gainward would be a good choice, for software bundle and low price the MSI GF4 Ti4200,all Ti4200 will overclock but results will vary.

if you can afford to spend a little more, you can get MSI's retail ti4400 for $185 from newegg. it's a very nice card.

This is a compatability problem with most nvidia geforce cards and gta3, if you read the readme file for gta3 you will see that it gives you a link to download an updated dll which should sort it out

Hi,

I own a MSI GF4 4200 and like Mem said the bundle it comes with is good and the price is great overall. My friend overclockes his and is pretty happy with the results the card gives him.
