can't believe nobody linked this thread yet, http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2181357, Idontcare does a fairly extensive comparison between TIMs in it.

TOOTHPASTE? Heheh, that is classic, he actually tested toothpaste on his CPU to see if it would work. Pure genius, very informative, big thanks to idontcare for all that hard work and contribution, I appreciate reading his stuff... and I like how he challenges misconceptions etc. (busting the myth about fingerprints etc.), very good reading.

I remember reading a review where they through in sliced cheese ? LOL , really.

I got a test tube from IC Diamond in that forum test they mention on their web site.
Worked well.
The factory stuff applied on the H50 seems to work well. Shin Etsu ?

edit: Also way back in the late 90's , I had recalled that super glue, could be used. So I used it on one of the first 2d/3d cards that I had back then. I can't recall which one it was, but it worked well, I had also added a fan, where there had been none on the card.

I don't like those 3.5g tubes. I always end up having to buy 2 each time I want to reapply the TIM.....
