Which Test set up will yield better results?

Thinking if things could be made as much in common as possible it would be easier to see one cpu's performance better versus another..

This Extreme Tech review is hard for me to figure out as a result.

Thinking once the Conroes .. Core 2 Duo's are finally launched for the general Public, sometime between July 23rd when they are to go to system builders and Labor Day.. we will finally have some good independent lab test to go on.. thoughts?

What exactly are you asking about the performance of? Conroe/Duo 2 & RAID0/2x1900XT vs. Conroe/Duo 2 & one HD and a 7800GTX?

Even just a single 1900XT will outperform a 7800GTX any day, or even a 7900GTX for that matter, though the second matchup would be a lot closer. Obviously, two HD's in RAID0 will be faster than a single one, though the performance differential is negligible, aside from a server environment.
