Man, choices choices.

As much as I hate the lakers, I would still have to say the Yankees. What they have done to the sport of baseball is a shame.

That's why baseball sucks

I don't keep track with baseball, please explain for the MLB challenged.

Well i'm MLB challenged myself since I find baseball slow, boring, and hard to watch, but I do know that there is no salary cap in baseball so pretty much the Yankees have a buttload of money and buy all the best players.

Probably because everyone hates LA (except half of those who live there) I think the Dodgers would be hated morte than the Yankees if they didn't suck so bad. The Raiders became hated when they moved to LA (before they fled back to Oaktown) and nobody liked the Rams until they moved out of LA.

What every is bad in any major Metropolis in America is present in LA , just with Smog and Traffic congestion added.

I like the Yankees because they have produced so many memorable moments in the WS's. This current Laker team will only be remembered by the Laker Fan Boys.

At UCLA I talk to lots of people who hate the Lakers, yet none of them really have any reasons for hating them except to say that they hate them period. Their reasoning might go something like "I hate the Lakers because Shaq is big and mean" or "The Lakers win too much." It's kind of like the Intel or Microsoft hating that runs rampant in these forums; no real logical reasons just plain hatred or dislike.

I've yet to meet a sane person that actually "hates" a team, though that's probably because they're not really a sports fan. A real sports fan will root against a team but still recognize that team's strengths/weaknesses.

All of the people hating the Yankees for spending so much, how are they breaking any rules? Is there any salary cap? No, so how is that George's fault? Hate Bud Selig for that, George is not doing anything wrong.

Ouch!!! No Evan, I'm from Merced which is like a whole different country than Okie Dokie Bakersfield. Unfortunately we are down wind from Fresneck though! To us traffic congestion is when we have to stop so the Emergency Service can scrape some idiot who crashed his Cafe Bike off the asphalt.

Who have the Yankees "bought" who have had any significant contribution? Moose and Giambi? OK so those are two big time free agents who were signed. Many teams have signed big name free agents over the seasons, so how is this any different?

There are many reasons why I hate the lakers. I hate how they don't play team basketball at all. I hate how Shaq jumps into someone who is standing with their hands up and gets a foul caclled or goes over their back every game and doesn't get one called. I hate how they think they're so good they can halfass a whole damn season and come back and still win. They feel they can halfass the playoffs and still win. I hate how everyone always chokes vs them because they know they can sit and halfass it and do nothing and be down by 18 and still win. I hate how the spurs, the kings, the blazers all seem to have them beat and they somehow come back and win it. I hate how they get the luckiest ass 3 pointers ever...Byron Scott banks one in. Robert Horry can amke 0 shots the whole game and make a huge 3 right when teh other team went up by 2 with a minute left. I hate how every team always seems to miss all their free throws against them when they normally wouldn't miss their free throws. DId I mention how everyone complains that the Lakers have no supporting cast? Their supporting players are good but who wants to be on a team where all you do is rebound and pass to kobe and shaq and the one shot a game you get you're supposed to make? Most of their players could be good on other teams, just not on this team. Finally, I hate how Kobe throws up the most forced up shot and you get all excited because he finally missed a shot he should have missed becuase it was a bad shot, right when the game is turning in their favor...then Shaq gets the damn rebound and dunks it:(

I didn't really hate the Lakers with magic, but I really really hate kobe and shaq. I think kobes a good player..I just hate him and his attitude.

Sounds like you hate them for the same reason as most Laker haters. You can't get over the fact that they can play "half-ass" and STILL win. Your hatred is out of frustration and nothing else. How about just accepting it? And Byron Scott? LOL. That mistake alone discredit any opinion you might have. You probably catch the basketball recap on the news and call yourself an NBA fan.

The Yankees. EASILY.

It's not the 26 world championships so much as it is their payroll! "Lose in the playoffs... we'll get Giambi. Lose again... hello best hitter from Japan." Their payroll is like $40-50 million more than the next team! Almost 50% as much!

The Lakers have earned the intimidation. They play well. They play in the clutch. Favorable calls? They've had it their way sometimes, and against them too. YES. They've had plenty of calls go completely against them. Of course people exagerrate it. Has it happened? Yeah. To the extent where they wouldn't have won if it didn't? Probably not.

What's the difference between the Yankees and the Lakers?
The Yankees may possibly be bad for baseball with their ability to outspend, especially small market teams. The Lakers are not bad for basketball. They may be hated because they win... but no way are they bad for the game.

The Yankees would easily be the most loved and most hated because of longevity and because they are by far the most widely known.

Brian Shaw...my bad..I was typing it all out real fast and wasn't really thinking. I'm not a fan, I refuse to be an NBA fan again until the Lakers lose. I watched the last few years and it was so frustrating seeing the Lakers almost lose and not lose. I usually refuse to watch Lakers games unless they're down by 15 in the 4th...and half the time they comeback to win:(

Yeah, I can't get over the fact that they half-ass it and still win...I hate that...
The difference between the Jordan Bulls and this team is Shaq is way better than a Pippen and it was Michael Jordan. That and the Bulls ALWAYS had the best record in the NBA. I don't think I remember them being down by 15 every game and having to comeback to win them all. Other players such as Horace Grant and Bill Cartwright always had 10-15 points.
