Before I order from monarch computers, I just want to make sure I get a HSF that fits. Specifically, which one of these 2 Taisols would be the better choice? The CGK742092, or the CER733092, for use with a Duron processor, and the MSI K7T Pro2-A. Thanx in advance.

The CGK742092 is the best one for performance, and I think also for noise level (Not realy shure)

I just thought that the CGK742092 needed some modification to fit on the MSI K7T Pro2-A motherboard. That is why I was thinking to go with the other model(does it also need to be modified to fit right)?

The CGK742 will not fit on the K7T Pro2A, according to Taisol. They said the CGK733 was the best fit.

I took my Taisol outside and rubbed the corner against the concrete ground until it fit ;-) Works wonders cooling my Duron 700@950 right now. Rarely goes over 40C. Normally around 32-34C. It's worth it if you don't mind filing it down, or attacking it with your back patio.

I have the identical set- up in question- there is a voltage regulator sticking up from the board which hits the corner of the sink- I had to be a little brave and bend it slighty, but fit fine afterwards.
