Which system?

I have narrowed my choices to two systems. Both from HP and both are $1000CAN. First one is the HP7160N. Specs are P4 D 820, intel 945g chipset, asus p5lp-le motherboard, 1 gig ram, 250g hard drive, integrated graphics, pvr, media center os. Next is the HP1130N. Specs are AMD 3500+, ati xpress 200 chipset, msi rs480m2-il motherboard, 1 gig ram, 250 gig hard drive, integrated graphics, media center os. I will mostly use it for gaming and photoshop stuff. I can always add a video card if nec. I have priced a custom setup with comparable components and pricewise it cant compare $300-$400 more expensive. I value your vast combined experience and need opinions and suggestions. I am a totally lost newb and need your help. Thanks in advance to all replies, your help is much appreciated.😕

i agree go AMD. i'm pretty sure the Pentium D is more for photoshop and stuff and the 3500 aimed more toward gaming

btw integrated graphics are not good enough for gaming...so...if you want get the system and then buy a graphics card later. but if it is for mainly gaming def go amd.

Yeah, if you want to do heavy multitasking, get the P-D 820 system. Otherwise, if you're just planning on using it for well, normal use (web browsing, IM'ing, music, gaming, etc), then definitely get the A64 3500+ system.

Bah, both aren't that great...

For gaming only, the A64 one will be best.

But for multitasking, the P-D would be sweet.
