Which System Memory?

I am going to build a new gaming PC shortly, and have narrowed most of my components down to:

DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR
Athlon 64 x2 4400+
PC Power & Cooling 510 SLI
BFG 7800GTX
Antec P180

I have narrowed my system memory down to the following two choices:

OCZ Titanium 2 X 1GB
Corsair XMS 2 X 1GB PRO

I am wondering what difference there could be between the two memories and if there would be any compatibility issues with the motherboard.

OCZ has better timings... 2-3-2-5 compared to corsair's 2.5-3-3-6

I've heard several conflicting opinions about memory that will work well with DFI motherboards. OCZ seems to come out on top 90% of the time.

Have you looked on DFI's website for supported or recommended brands of memory?

I checked, but they didn't have anything for compatible memory, except for PC4000 and up.

why not take corsair xms with timings 2-2-2-5, or geil with cas 1.5 or is ocz better?

nice system jesus people really save or they are rich either way its all hardwork. I recommend you look at reviews dont know much about good ram to oc with as I rember the last thing that was good when i was into ocing was ocz plat rev 2.

don't bother with the titanium, all you get out of that is the advanced rma option. its made for servers.

i like the mushkin hp blue pc3200 but i dunno who has it in stock anymore. but if you're oc'ing, which i assume is what the dfi is for, its the best bang for the buck.

if you have the $$, the ballistix and new ocz gold would be nice. hers the best database around from users.

I graduated from college last May, and have a "real" job now. I'm spending some money to buy the things I've always wanted, but couldn't afford.

Try out OCZ's 2GB EL Platinum PC3200 kit. I have a few of them and I love em. 🙂

thats what i was thinking of before getting the mushkins. they're working out well for you? do they oc well? i'm pretty sure they use the same infineon chips mushkin uses but i may be wrong on that.
