I kid you not, COPS will flick you off for doin less than 70...

What's the speed limit on this turnpike? If its a freeway, no one should be driving 70 :) Over here in CA, I see 70 maybe 2% of the time.

I think Florida too. We have so many important people that think everyone else should get out of their way it makes driving a pleasure.

Florida EASILY.

Damn bad drivers fvck everyone up. Be it someone who thinks they don't have to signal/break/drive right, too many who are just too slow, no one that knows their right of ways, you know, things like that.

Old people, young people, white, spanish, black, and hell, even French (who pulls up in the left lane behind an SUV while you're backing out then drives as you back out so you hit them, and of course stupid florida law says its your fault). Nice how people cut you off and slam on their brakes to make a turn that sends you flying into the middle/left lane/median. Bah I hate this state I really need to get the HELL out of here.

CA all the way. Women on phones and OLD people. Yesterday old guy reversing out of a parking space almost backed in me came about 1 inch away. F@#$%^ didn't even bother looking back and thought it was my fault too. Where the hell did he learn to drive? OLD people have no clue they just change lanes and do all sorts of sh!t without even looking. I guess when your time is almost up you can take all sorts of chances. I mean I've made mistakes before but at least I realize when it is my fault (hence I learn and don't do it again). :( grrr don't even get me started on this. California drivers f@#$%^ up all the time and yet they don't realize it's THEIR FAULT. As a result they'll do it over and over again and eventually they'll cause some accident.

The best drivers you find in Germany, because these guys are used to drive up to 300 km/hour on their highways. It's funny when they pass with 200 km/hr or 250 km/hr members of the US occupation force, whith their outdated Chevies cruising at 50km/hours.

A lot of people make this mistake...

Jersey doesn't have the worst drivers, it has the worst roads. There was no plan to any of it, so our road system is a patchwork of upgrades and renovations and expansions. Plus we've got that 'no left turns' thing going for us, which makes enginering the roads that much more compliacted. Plus, all signs on jersey roads are about 5-10 feet after the turn.

We're actually some of the best drivers in the fact that we manage to survive in this damn near combat-zone.

<< Come here to Alaska and see for yourself. While we may not have absolutely terrible drivers, when you take pretty bad drivers and add half a foot of ice onto the roads, you get absolutely terrible roads to be driving on. I remember one day back in May when it was right around freezing and there was a bunch of ice on the roads, there were 20+ accidents in a time period of about 3 hours. Take into account that the population of the city I'm in is about 50,000, and realize that's a LOT of accidents.

However, everybody is going to say that they have the worst drivers where they are, so you're not gonna get any decent answers to this question.

Yeah dude, you would think that the people up there would KNOW how to drive in the snow and ice. I grew up in a tiny town in Alaska and and learned how to drive fairly well in the snow and ice. I went up to Anchorage after I graduated and the first snow fall there must have been 30 accidents along Seward Hwy.. Just crazy man.

You know where I live, you know what I am going to say.

After having lived in many states and having driven in most, if not all, Florida is the absolute worst.

All states have bad drivers but like everything else in Floriduh, they are concentrated here.

I never thought I would say I would rather drive in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle, Dallas, Houston or Oklahoma than where I lived but it is true.

Last I looked, Japan, NYC and Memphis were not states. Memphis is not a difficult place to drive but it is big.

Dont confuse places with a lot of traffic with places that have a lot of bad drivers.

Oh dear lord, nothing compares to Florida. I dread having to drive somewhere because college drivers suck! It's scary to be driving and watch drunk frat guys in red sports cars that daddy bought, swerving around without using turn signals.

I think Dave Barry once said about Florida drivers, something about "he didn't know for the longest time that they made cars in Florida with turn signals" because so few people use them. :)

Oh yeah, I'm in Orlando and I'm a college student myself.

Another vote for Ohio. Man, with few exceptions, every Ohio driver I've come accross has been a complete idiot.

I lived on Hilton Head Island for a while, and we'd get sh!tloads of vactioners from Ohio. They were the WORST drivers.

My susicions were confirmed when I visited Cincinatti a few times. Oh boy, was THAT place an adventure to drive in...

BTW, in my 17+ years of driving, I've driven in most of CA, AZ, NM, TX, GA, SC, NC, IL, IN, MO, TN, AL, UT and a few more. Ohio still takes the cake.

All i know is that there are a lot of bad drivers in Colorado. Hey...we have tons of SUVs/Trucks...probably a greater SUV/trucks to driver ratio in the whole free world! ARGH!

What state is Creative based in? :p
Heh, I'm just kidding. My experiances on Texas highways have always been decent, except for the occasional blue hair. ;)

Texas is the worst. I just LOVE it when drivers pull off of the interstate - FROM THE LEFT LANE.
