which SSD would you buy, Intel or OCZ

So if you have read the recent vertex 3 article here on Anandtech along with all the comments it seems like there is a big debate between OCZ verus Intel.

OCZ seems to be fast and a decent price, but people seem to really debate their reliabilty and the recent "chip change" that caused performance issues was not a positive point either.

Intel seems to be more expensive but more reliable.

(btw, these are just my obervations based on the many comments, etc.)

So the big question... Where would you spend your money?

A vertex 3, Intel 320, or Intel 510

I am looking at getting a new SSD for my OS drive and I would like it to support SATA 6 gig if it is really worth it.

After what OCZ did with the 25nm drives I would never buy anything from them again. This is coming from some one who has a Vertex 2 that worked without too much issue.

For just gaming sata 6gb isn't worth it imo. It's only worthwhile for some enterprise uses and for moving around large files frequently. Any SSD will save considerable time on booting and loading games and smooth out some stuttering in games. The real advantage sata 6 SSDs bring to gamers right now is they are driving down the prices on the older models so you can afford more gb of storage for your buck.

Well, a Vertex 3 is not going to have the same 34nm to 25nm problem as a Vertex 2, but it does bring OCZ's shoddy QA processes into the light. On the other hand, the 510 costs too damn much IMHO. At this point, I'd say to either (a) wait for SF-2000 based SSDs from better vendors, (b) get a SATA 3Gb/s 320 or Force 120 (which are still very fast), or (c) get a C300 if you really must have SATA 6Gb/s.
