ok fellas, i worked hard in restoring my pc from scratch and now i want to try vista. so i want to create an image of the hard drive where if i do not like vista i can load the image up and start back from where i left w/o having to do all the re-installation of everything.

can anyone recommend me a good software for this purpose that is not too hard to use and vista compatible (32bit) also?

thankyou!

I think you mean partition the hard drive? If so, Partition Magic worked great for me when I wanted to test out Linux. I may test out Vista soon as well.

I dunno if it's Vista-compatible, but Norton Ghost has always worked for me. I have a tutorial on making an image to a DVD here:

If you have a spare hard drive, you can do a full clone or an image backup to that as well. PM me if you have any questions.
