Which smartphones sync Outlook Web Access calendar?

Picked up a Blackberry 9700 with the intention of using it to sync the calendar and contacts with my Microsft OWA from work. Discovered that the only way to do this with Blackberry is if you have Blackberry Enterprise Server installed on your network and my company does not. Otherwise, I love the 9700. Syncing with desktop based Outlook is not an option since my company will not install any Google or Blackberry software on company computers.

Anyway, so in the process of looking for a replacement phone, I have determined that Windows Mobile smartphones will sync calendar, contacts and e-mail with OWA. Android might...... I haven't figured that out, yet. WebOS also might? Someone set me straight, please.

My knowledge of this is pretty limited, but I have my calendar, contacts, and email synced via Exchange with my Droid.

Some googling finds some posts at other forums mentioning OWA support. I have no idea what Exchange is to OWA and vice versa. :)

isn't this something that your corporate IT would set permissions on?

I have no clue about the corporate side of things...I can help you sync pretty much any phone to outlook but I don't know how to do it with OWA

BlackBerry's do support OWA sync for mail as long as it doesn't go through an ISA. You need to go to the personal email setup on the phone and there is an option for OWA.

Also if your company has Exchange Activesync open and running there are BB 3rd party apps that will use that to sync instead of going through a BES.

Yeah, BB's with 3rd party, android phones (especially with the Touchdown program), windows mobile phones

This is assuming that your comp has Exchange.

Yeah, I can set up the e-mail, but being able to sync the calendar and contacts would be FAR more useful. In fact, I could take or leave the e-mail. BES makes the contact and calendar synchronization seamless, from what I understand.

Yes you will have to use a program like http://www.astrasync.com/ if you don't have a BES and want Calendar/Contacts over the air. Your company will have to have activesync enabled though. What do other employees use?

That is exactly what I was looking for, I just didn't know it existed. A lot cheaper than a $600 HD2. I'll try it out tonight. Thanks.
