Hi,
i saw some slotket's description have something like 133mhz compatible(something like that).

I have a ABIT BE6 and ordered a 700e CuMine, which slotket to get to get the max from the CPU?

brand, price,

thanks.
The highest fsb i am to is 110mhz, without a problem. I don't know if it is the card's problem or what..

I got me a BE6 and 700 and I'm using a MSI Slocket. I think the number is 6905. Works like a champ.

All I know is I bought it all together with my 700 and a Gorb so I'm not sure how much it was. :)

But it is one of the best I do know that much. It might of been $25 but I'm not sure. It's better to spend more up front then to buy a cheap one and have to buy another one later.

i use the Asus S370-Dl slocket and i runs super stable at 160Mhz ( it gives me a 880 mhz cpu!! on via board, although my bx board goes up to 140Mhz)
go for an asus!!!

they say its best to get a slocket from the same brand as the mobo...but from what ive seen the Abit slocket gets great reviews...also nice is that it is made for oversized hsf combos also...rubs about 10 bux and it uses a plastic lever for the cpu..no oversized metal one to get in the way of a hsf.its the one im ordering with my celeron 633 and golden orb cooler to work on my Abit BH6 mobo.

MSI MS-6905 Master wins the Apoppin, Killer Ape, Eug, Thorn AnandTech slocket test thread. (Did I forget anyone?)

It isn't that expensive, since it's usually less than 5 US bux more than a generic.

i used an abit socket!!! with my be6-2 and it overclocked very very well with celeron2's and P3. now i have the CUSL2 which doesn't need the socket. if you want an abit socket, i'm trying to upload it for $15 shipped.

here i am living in Vancouver,
MSI Slotket is not that common,
I have an Abit Be6, ordered a Coppermine 700e,
any slotket other than MSI? If MSI is that flawless, i will need to order online.

Try onvia.ca. Their office is based in Richmond. They have an asus slotket for $18. It's great! It can change the voltage but not the FSB. I think onvia.ca also carries the abit slotket as well. Free delivery from Richmond shouldn't take more than a day or two.

faye, we had a monstrous thread running at one time, where several of us had tried and compared the different slotkets, some over volumes of cpu overclocking. I for one have tested over 1000 cpus on different slotkets. The MSI has proven itself quite well. It has booted CPU's at overclocked speeds and been stable when the others would not. Sure, there will be people that say otherwise. I'm comfortable with my results and what they indicate.

Uhhh... the address to onvia.ca is irrelevant since they offer free shipping! :D Besides, I don't think they'll sell you anything if you go there... they're not a retail store. You can try since there's nothing stopping you... :D ;):Q:p

Hello just ressurected the thread to ask if anyone knew about the dirt cheap Jetway slotket I just bought.
I expect to use it on a 633->950 Celeron on a BE6.
