Which should go in my computer, which in an xbox? 250gb or 160gb

Currently have a Maxtor 250gb in my main rig (i've only got about 30 of that used) and will be modding an xbox sometime early next year....

I just picked up a 160gb Seagate from Outpost for $49 and am contemplating putting it in my rig and using the Maxtor 250 in the xbox....

Which would you do?

WHY would you need a 250GB drive in an xbox?

160 in the xbox, of course...

Also, HOW do you only use 30GB of a 250GB drive?

Maybe you should send it to me...I only have ~10GB free combined from my 74GB and 160GB drives.

Doesn't really matter unless you don't do house cleaning to save space, because 160 or 250 GB is more than enought space for music, movies & porn.

Put the 160 in your comp and keep the 250 for your Xbox. Will make for good times later. 🙂

The only reason to have large drives in an Xbox is to store your *cough* legitimately purchased games locally....hard drive space is MUCH more valuable in a computer.

... or you can store legitimate games on there for quick loading.

If you are going to use the XBox as a Movie Machine, Music Machine, Gaming Machine, Emulator, machine, etc... Then I'd put the 250 in the XBox. Games run so much faster when you dump them to the HDD than when you play them off the DVD too...

Go for 250 in the XBox - I have one in mine and it's great. Too bad there's only about 7GB free now. 🙁

It dosent matter that the 250 has been used for a few months, does it?

nope, you'll be fine - you'll reformat it with the XBox file system anyway....

Depends on what you want to do with the xbox, I have the same setup, 250 on the computer and 160 on the xbox. I decided on the bigger HD for the comp. since that's where I do all my dl'ing. Sometimes my 160 would fill up which can be a drag but it's no big deal transfer stuff between computer and xbox.
