Which should be better, 2x2GB 5-4-4-15 or 4x1GB 4-4-4-15?

Hi,

I can get those two options for the same price:

2x2GB 5-4-4-15
4x1GB 4-4-4-15

Should I prefer one over the other? Does having all banks full make me lose the benefit of the extra timing?

This would be on an Asus P5K motherboard (X35).

honestly you will not be able to tell a difference.

Also agree that it's not going to be very noticeable either way. I would take 1T command rate(possible with the 2-stick setup) over CAS 4 personally, though.

Plus it will leave you the option of adding more later if for whatever reason you would need more than 4gig.
