My system:
MSI Neo4-f s939 mobo
A64 x2 3800+ @ 2.5Ghz
Thermaltake TR2TT CPU Cooler
2x1GB Mushkin DDR500
MSI x1900xtx
At the current settings, my CPU is 38C idle and ~54C under load, which is about as hot as I'd want it to be. However, it can boot into windows at up to 2.8Ghz but gets way too hot, as temps jump over 60C under any kind of load. So, I think my CPU has some more headroom for OCing but my current cooling is holding me back.
What would you guys recommend I do to get the most out of my CPU:
1. Get the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
2. Use the stock HSF that came with the x2 3800+
3. Use some other HSF? if so, it must be quiet!!
4. Stick with the TR2TT, it's unlikely anything will help
