I got an XP-1800, JIUCB stepping, from a friend as a gift. I currently run an XP-1600 Palomino at 11 x 155 FSB, and heat is becoming an issue. I run at 49 degrees celcius under full load x 1 hour. The big question here is whether to return the processor, or run it. If the JIUCB runs cooler at the same multiplier and FSB, then of course I'll keep it!
I have an Alpha PAL8045 cooler and more air than a wind tunnel through the case.
I hope that the new CPU is useable, because I am almost at the limit of the processor. I found the absolute mhz. (this one at least) was found at 1738mhz., at motherboard max of 1.85v
