list of 21" monitors

I'm currently deciding on the Dell P1110, IBM P260, Nokia 445 Pro, and the NEC FE1250

I heard lots of great things about the P1110 from people, but I see the IBM P260 has DVI inputs and costs only $10 more, possibly has a better tube too? the nokia one doesn't look so bad either...
I heard lots of great things about the NEC 1250+, but I found out that is a different monitor than the 1250, which does not have the highly acclaimed diamondtron nf tube, which wouldn't that make a dramatic difference? plus the resolution isn't that great compared to the others either...

Which one should I get and please state why!

I've had a P1110 refurb for a year and a half now, no regrets.

As for DVI inputs, aren't all CRTs analog output anyhow?

i read from this one review on tomshardware that this monitor with DVI looked noticeably sharper.. but it was limited to 1280x1024. I think it just uses an optimized DAC that was made specifically for that monitor.. that's why it looks sharper?

I'm suggesting the NEC monitor simply because I have had good experiences with NEC in the past. Their monitors usually output a surprisingly nice picture for the cost. Dell monitors are usually pretty decent too. One of the reasons I actually don't mind suggesting Dell to some people looking to build a new system for basic usage purposes.

The Dell or the IBM are the way to go out of those, pretty much anything w/ a modern Trinitron tube would do the trick

review of monitors
well I did a little searching on google... and I found that article that has the Compaq P1100(same as dell P1110 right? they have same specs), and the IBM P260.
Seems like IBM is supposed to be a bit crisper, while the P1100 has better convergence and color.. though they were both good enough to get 5 and A grade rating
this is a tough choice...

Well if your new to the 21" monitor club welcome my friend you are in for gaming bliss with the size of the screens these bad boys produce. I can only say this I would NEVER in my life go to a screen smaller then what I have now I am that spoiled.

I have a Dell P1110 as well and after almost a year (got it off lease) it is going strong and looks great.
A cool thing is that it has dual inputs too unlike the models below it, such as the P990/991 (19" monitors).
I think you will enjoy the monitor.

I have the Dell p1110, Sony G520 and the Nokia 445-pro.

For the money there i get the Dell...its a lot better than my Nokia and cheaper than the SOny.
For $269 expect a A grade with NO scratches in the screen or case.

ok I just got my monitor.. thanks to azatek for the super fast shipping...
though the monitor has the greenish tint to it... i checked the cable, no bent pins...
it looks like a monitor that has been burned in greenish tint.. the colors look really bad compared to my hitachi

i just did the color correction.. looks great now...
but this still isn't right.. the color should be good at stock.. i'm a bit concerned that it isn't, and I have to manually turn the green waayy down

is there anyway to move the crosshair a bit to the right or the left? :p
it's hard to play with the crosshair split between two screens...

/me installs ms flight sim2002 now :)

2x21" monitor gaming totally rocks
