Which ram to get?

spacewalker PC133
Kingston PC133
mushkin PC133

I am looking to spend $40 or so for 256mb PC133 and I can get the first 2 for $40. The mushkin is $48 should I just go with it or the other 2. I know mushkin is one of the best brands but is there really much difference in ram?

There really isn't much difference if you're not going to be overclocking the FSB, but I always spend a little extra to get RAM from the more reputable makers because I know I'll be getting quality RAM that won't flake out on me. Out of those three I would definitely go with the Mushkin. Will that particular one do 2-2-2? You might also want to take a look at Crucial; I always buy my RAM from them.

Edit: WOOHOO! I'm golden.

go for kingston! Kingston usually seems to be the cheapest but reliable ram brand. Concerning the others, I believe there is no difference in ram brands. The only difference may be that some brand might have a bigger "made in taiwan" sign on it

I never used Spacewalker neither the Kingston. But I heard that they are good.
I just used Mushkin. Worked very good for me! 🙂
Saving money to get another 128 Mb PC133 Mushkin for me!

All 3 that the ppl are offering me are PC133 CAS3. I was hoping to find something that would do Cas2 @133. Could the kingston value ram hit that speed at Cas2 you think?

mushkin is the best, i would pay the extra just to be completely sure your getting the best ram, i didnt know it was that cheap, is this cas 2 or cas3 ram, and if cas 3, can it run @ cas 2? anyone have exp with this stick?

Im not 100%, but I think Mushkin CAS 3 will work on CAS 2 @ 133 Mhz. Im not sure, but Mushkin is a excellent memory. I use CAS 2.

Why not go with Micron/Crucial? They make good stuff. My trusty -8E and -75 chips runs CAS2 @ 146 stable. Give it a try.
