I am looking for ram for a AMD 3500+ system with a DFI Lanparty motherboard.
I was thinking 1GB is plenty, but mabye I need 2GB...I play a lot of games.

Anyways what would be the best ram to go with...at a max of $200.00

They are all good brands.

Unless you OC, I think that OCZ is a waste of money because it's really just higher-grade RAM for OC'ers. Mushkin and Patriot tend to be nice and cheap, but Crucial makes their own RAM as well as sells it to other RAM companies. Always nice to buy it direct from the manufacturer!

Is that OCZ RAm you linked to UTT? How well would the 1GB sticks overclock? I am actually looking for cheap RAm and want 2GB.

This is what I am actually wondering, I'd imagine they would use the same chips as the lower-capacity modules, but the CAS3 scares me. I'm just shelling out extra for 2x1GB Platinum 2-3-2. :D

Might be a preconcieved notion of mine, but when I think of OCZ, I think of OC'ing (hey, it's even in the name). I mean, the Platinum Revision 2 is legendary... to buy anything less from OCZ seems almost a disservice. Purely subjective. Again, they all work fine.
