Ryzen loves fast RAM, with tight timings.

That said, unless you are benchmarking your PC all the time, it would be fine. Just make sure the RAM you select is on the QVL list (either the motherboard's or RAM manufacturer's list).

I did newegg search for "ddr4 2x8GB RGB" RAm and out of 14 RGB RAMs, only one shows up on QVL:

https://www.newegg.com/global/in-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236165&Description=DDr4 2x8gb 3000 RGB&cm_re=DDr4_2x8gb_3000_RGB-_-20-236-165-_-Product

And QVL too lists it as "Single Channel". Also, all 8 GB RAMs are suported only in single channels with this motherboard and even with Tomahawk B450. I don't know what to make out of it except that MSi X470 Gaming Plus QVL list is either incomplete or outdated.

That doesn't mean single channel, that is just the type of memory (the "best answer" here explains it pretty nicely): http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3474188/difference-single-sided-memory.html

A lot of the fast RAM on Ryzen is only able to run at the faster speeds only if two modules or less is used. There's not too many RAM kits that will work at the fastest speeds when all 4 slots are occupied.

That's the biggest difference between the RAM controller when it comes to Intel vs. AMD. For example, I have all four slots occupied on my Intel board, and it runs at DDR4 3200 speeds. If I took that same RAM and installed it on an AMD motherboard that listed it was also compatible, it would likely have to be run at DDR4 2933 speeds or lower.

Verify compatibility with the motherboard. FlareX wasn't listed as compatible on my ASRock X370 Killer but I tried it anyway. It wasn't stable past 2933.

You want speed and bling then go with the one you listed:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232751&Description=2x8gb ddr4 RGB&cm_re=2x8gb_ddr4_RGB-_-20-232-751-_-Product

And yes, this kit is designed for AMD Ryzen.

What I listed was without X in the end: GTZR. You gave link of GTZRX . Specs look exactly same, from both newgg and from manufacturer's site. But X is 2000/- Indian Rupees costly. What's the difference between these 2 ?

manufacturer's pages (G Skill) for GTZR and GTZRX.

UPDATE: I get it, X version has X470/B450 in its QVL list while non-X version does not. What an eye daveybrat :D
