Which raid controller to use?

Im going to be setting up a raid 0 configuration using an MSI 875p Neo2 m/b. There are 2 raid controllers for SATA on the board, one is a Promise raid controller, and the other is Intel. Any difference in performance or stability with either one? Or does it not make a difference.

Promise has ALWAYS let me down.

BUT the promise runs on the PCI bus while the Intel one is in the southbridge. So use the Intel one and just turn off that promise junk.
