Which QB would you take a risk on this week?

Ive got Griese and Trent Green. Griese against Lions D and Green against the Oakland D. However, I could also take a chance on Culpepper going against the Miami D. It looks like Culpepper is going to start and he had a good pre-season.

Who would you start?

Update at last post.

Damn.. howd you end up with such bad QB's? Even vince isn't that great for FF. I'd probably go with Griese.

Brian Griese... Lions D ain't that great

Despite how bad Oakland is... their suckiness is mostly on offense. Their defense is actually decent.

Ya, my QB's do suck. My only weakness though. Ive got the #1 WR tandem in the league and a solid crew of RB's. Sacrificed at QB though. Trying to swing a deal to get a Brady or Peyton.

This is a very important week. My team's 3-0 right now, with its toughest game this week. This is also in a family league, so there are some rivalries here. Bottom line though, I need my QB to put up 15 for me. Trent Green is who I was leaning towards. He has been consistent so far. However, the Detroit pass D is really enticing to go against.

I am sure Romo was there whenever you picked VY, big mistake. Anyhow, I would go with Green. I haven't seen anything from Griese that would lead me to believe he is going to fare better than Green against Oakland.

I agree Detroit is tempting, but look at the Bears run game. Any NFL team can do decent against the pass if they know that's pretty much all they have to guard against.

I agree I may have made a mistake on Young over the likes of Romo/Kitna. To be honest, don't remember if they were available when I took VY, but I suspect they were.

On the upside though, I may have just fixed my problem. I managed to land a blockbuster trade. I'm giving up Willie Parker (my only real concern) Trent Green (who cares?) Braylon Edwards and Ronald Curry. In return Im getting Peyton Maning, Randy Moss, Javon Walker (hope his injury isn't serious) and Lendale White (he may become a big sleeper this year). I think Im getting a major upside EVEN if Walker/Lendale don't pan out.

My biggest concern is that I have for RB's once this goes through Cedric Benson, Lendale White, Maurice Jones-Drew and Brandon Jacobs. All of which could put up big numbers but could put up shit. Biggest problem is this week MJD and Lendale are on byes and Brandon Jacobs may not play. Kinda hurts me this week, but if I can manage to pickup Watson off the waiver wire to cover me for a week I should be ok.

On the flip side, the rest of my team will be loaded. WR's TO, Moss and Andre Johnson. Along with Javon Walker as my 4th reserve (start 3) QB's VY and Peyton. TE Kellen Winslow. Pretty solid team all and all, hopefully enough to get my to the championship game. Whatcha guys think?

Wow whoever traded you is an idiot. Manning, Moss and Walker for Parker (the only real player).

Are you playing with 5 year old girls?

I swear I talked him into the trade. Like I said, its a family league so Ive got a bit more influence over family members than I do random people I dont know.

So in other words you suckered a family member into making such a terrible trade? Man, even if you win the rest of the season, you're a loser.

You're completely screwed on RBs. Willie is going to be the #1 guy this season. The 4 you have now are all underperforming badly. Your QB/WR may be able to carry you, but the lack of any halfway decent RB hurts.

Ya, I agree. That was my only concern. The way I look at it though, with Moss/TO/Johnson Ive got without a doubt the best WR's. Peyton/Vince as backup gives me one of the best QB lineups. All I need is average production out of my running backs. I expect Cedric Benson to get the ball 20 times a game. If he can put up close to 100 yards a week and get in the endzone every once in awhile Im happy with that. A bit less is exected of Lendale, but he may surprise some people this year. MJD is the guy I really need to have step up. If he can start producing a fraction of what he did last year I'll be in great shape.

What's the point of playing if you know you can just steamroll everyone by forcing them into trades? There's no more challenge so it's no longer fun

it's be like me convincing my g/f to trade my celeron for her C2D because "celeron" sounds cuter and my celeron is painted pink so it looks nicer

and then posting in FS/T asking if I did a great trade
