Antec neopower 480W or Seasonic S12 500W

Neo <========PWNED
Pros: - Modular - Cheaper by $15
Cons: - Not as stable as S12 - 20W less -

Seasonic
Pros: - 80% eff -
Cons: - Not modular -

Scratch out the neo, how about the Seasonic s12 500W vs a PC P&C 470 Silencer?

System would be based around:
3200+ Venice
NForce4 ultra mobo
7800GT
3 optical drives
1gb of ram

will probably OC

I would go for Seasonic. What I heard from people it is great PSU. I don't know but I still don't trust modular PSU. So my vote goes for Seasonic.

yeah i've run antecs for a while also and have noticed that the volts are a bit off at times. Im thinking about going for the seasonic but i just found a rebate that ends today for the neo that knocks off $20 bucks! so i dunnno know.

Seasonic. They are rock solid. As you'll find on the web, as the Antecs get older, the voltages fluctuate a bit too much. The Seasonic S12 especially is unbeatable in it's class/price.
I know my rig has an Enermax, but I've had Antecs before and based on friends' systems I can recommend the Seasonic wholeheartedly.

Both are supposed to be good PSUs, however, I have heard that Antec's quality control is dropping, but I've never heard anyone say that Seasonic is anything less than flawless. Seasonics are also supposed to be very quiet.

The Neo is Antec's best PSU and really the only one I'd use from them. Still The Seasonic is still a bit better unless you really want the modular cables.

Seriously check the Neo will fit in your case.
Believe it or not, I got a Hiper modular PSU and because of the way the PSU space is on my Coolermaster case, the PSU wouldn't fit because the screw bits for the modular connectors stuck out too far.
Luckily my old PSU worked fine in the end, as I first thought I was having issues due to a bad PSU, but I was able to use my old PSU.
Check that the PSU will fit though!!!!

bump, revised the poll with new options that require more attention so I can make a decision based on your experience filled opinions. 😛

Yeah, you're going to have to delete the prior poll and create a new one.

PC Power and Cooling will own all.

Seasonic is great for silence, but Antec should be better for voltage regulation (not too sure about NeoPower, but TP2.0 beats a lot of PSUs in voltage regulation)

I say get the Seasonic. You'll need dual floppy power ocnnectors for a DFI board, and I'm not sure if the Antec has that, but Seasonic surely does. Uhh also, Seasonic's rails might not be strong enough if you're doing hardcore OCing.
