Which PSU is better? HX520 vs EVGA 450 BT

Selling an old PC, trying to decide which PSU to sell and which to keep.

My old PSU is a Corsair HX520, which was a really good PSU at the time, and is also modular:

New PSU that I picked up for cheap:

Being modular isnt the biggest deal to me, but im wondering is a newer cheap PSU today better than a more expensive one from the past?

Both systems that the PSU will be in are roughly the same:

computer im selling:
Q6600
gtx 560ti

computer that im keeping
G4560
gtx 670

Which PSU is better? And would it be a better bet to keep the newer one since the old one might die of old age.

Your old PSU is almost certainly better quality. A cheap unit like that from EVGA is probably using very cheap components, while the HX520 is a Seasonic built unit that uses Japanese only capacitors, and is based on the S12 platform which is pretty robust and time tested.

But given the age of the HX520 it might be better to just sell it along with the other old components.

Thats what I was thinking. I know Corsairs are pretty good PSUs, but because its so old im gonna try out the 450BT.

Either unit should be fine with the 560ti/670 right? And what about an RX480 if i ever decide to upgrade?

@Nvidiaguy07 Yes, should be fine as long as it has the necessary PCIe connectors. RX 480 uses roughly the same amount of power as GTX 560 Ti and GTX 670 - somewhere between 150W and 200W.

Keep the Corsair with the old C2Quad and the EVGA with the new KabyLake G4560.
