I am wanting to buy a fairly cheap but decent PSU. I would like for it to work with my current NF2 board untill I do upgrade. Does the newer NF4 boards work with older PSU's or do they use different connectors?
You can use the 24 pin ps on a 20 pin mb. Just plug in the 24 pin cable to the 20 pin socket aligning pin 1 on each. You can do this if you have enough clear space around the connector on the mb. Otherwise get a 24 to 20 adapter cable. A 480 watt ps should have enough amps for all voltages.
are the Antec Smart Blues good PSU's? Or should I look into a true power/smart power series? Or is there any difference? How many amps should I be looking for on the +5,+12,ect lines?
