Which program do you use to design your web page?

notepad?

Actually, I use frontpage because I like the preview feature. Heck I don't even know how to run the normal part of it...

Just html for me baby. I suggest you learn html first THEN learn to play with programs...

i use photoshop, dreamweaver and notepad. notepad less and less since dreamweaver has better html viewer now. not really for beginners...

Same here. It's the best combination of apps available IMHO.

DREAMWEAVER ALL THE WAY!!!

It is not really that hard to learn. All the basics that you might do in Front Page are very straight-forward & easy[edit]to do in Dreamweaver also (ie. No need for FP)[/edit]. To do more advanced stuff like CSS, just pick up a book at the bookstore & you'll catch right on. What's great about DW is that it doesn't automtically add in all kinds of unnecessary formatting & meta tags for no reason at all like FP does. Whenever I open a front page file, I have to spend all day cleaning it up...especially if the page requires any formatting. Dreamweaver is also very easy to get online. You can download the fully functional trial version off the macromedia website. It is good for 30 days (or more 😀).

Also, keep in mind that the more advanced web pages are using more & more "Flash" & "Shockwave" media...both of which are from Macromedia. The use of these applications had become very widespread as of late. Dreamweaver obviously has the best integration for these sorts of inserts.

I scribble the HTML code onto Dunkin Donuts coffee with my own blood while gorging on a dozen jelly filled donuts.

when i first started making webpages i used geocities or tripod and they had thier own built in webpage builder. believe it or not i actually learned a lot from those things!

now i just use notepad and photoshop. 🙂

Frontpage 2002, Photoshop 6.0, Dreamweaver, Flash are the main components of my webpage. After that, my scanner scanning software and digital camera software are both quite helpful in getting images to the page asap.
