Which processor would you choose? (Both AMD)

I have an AMD 950 athlon (classic) and a 900 thunderbird Athlon. Both slot1, both work in my system. The various benchmark programs I have they come out about even, in one the 950 wins, in antoher they tie, in another the 900 wins. I personally cant tell the difference in performance between the two. (never thought I would be able to, bought the thunderbird to test it's performance)

I am faced with which one to keep for myself. Neither of them are overclocked and those are the true speeds. More than likely the one i keep wont be overclocked anyways.

Can I get a poll on which you would keep and why?

Well all being Equal performance wise sell the Thunderbird it will most likely give you more of a dollar return than the classic.

I probably should have mentioned that the one i dont keep will be going into my brother's syetem for an upgrade from his 600 classic. So retuen on money is not a fator. According to pricewatch the classic 950 is bit more than the 900 thundebird. ($42 more)

I would keep the Thunderbird, just because of the faster cache (full speed instead of 1/3 (I think))
Also, the name "Thunderbird" sounds nicer :)

I would get the tbird since it's significantly cheaper. on the other hand with the classic you can be 100% sure it will run perfectly without hastle on your slota mobo.

I don't think ya'll quite understand...he's saying he HAS both the 950 and 900. He's just gonna put one in his bro's system and wants to know which to keep for himself. I'd say go with the tbird...and you can say you have a tbird ;) and you can say you have "performance enhancing cache hehe. anyway...if you did oc, the tbird would go higher probably

thanks for the input, Looks like I will keep the T-bird, it also runs a bit cooler, keeping the temp down in my case as well, and if i do decide to over clock them, i would also think the t-bird would overclock better too.
