I did alittle research on this same question a few months back. After searching forum after forum, it "seemed" like the Large, in-place FFts was the test to run.
I cant answer your question on why it is better. Maybe because it focuses on stressgin the CPU....

I agree w/ ty1er. I tried searching the forums for a long time and no one seemed to want to reply to my post. It seems that you should run the Torture test with Large, in-place FFTs.
it should be obvious when the latest mentions maximum heat and power consumption (the 2nd choice)....if you want to test ram pick the other ones....but memtest is a better indicator.
