You need Limited production which equals rarity:
Sure a '02 WS6 will be collectible due to last year of production but not $1million collectible as so many were made and many folks have time-capsuled there cars thinking they will be million dollar cars by 2020.

Dodge Daytona IROC Turbo & Plymouth Acclaim RT (2yrs of production on these low volume cars)
Porsche 993 Turbo (These in mint condition are already fetching near $100K) Last air-cooled Porsche made.
Porsche 928 GTS (were talking '92 - '94 model years with manual trans)
MBZ AMG CL65 - TT V12 with a MSRP of near $200K pushing 600+HP and 700+TQ
Shelby CS1 - super low volume
Qvale Mangusta - Super low volume
Sure Lambos, Ferraris, and ZR1's may get there but the above cars are ones people don't think about.

I like to think of classics in terms of what a working men could afford.
RX7 for the rotary engine. NSX for the aluminum frame and McLaren F1 influence. Miata for bring back the affordable roaster. Dodge Viper GTS for brute muscle and icon. H1/H2 Hummer for excess. Original Honda Insight for the introduction of hybrids.

Something I actually agree with you about. I don't think there are any. Sure in 50 years, you may see one offs or special case vehicles going for $1 million, but there is no single vehicle model that is mass produced today that is going to be selling for that much (unless it is already selling for that much today).

See this I could imagine, everything else everyone is mentioning are cars that just didn't sell well and didn't make many of and aren't that special at all. If they made thousands of a car it's not going to be special.

Low volume means nothing. It takes low volume and desirability to make it a classic. If they only make 100 models of a car, but no one wants one, then it's not a classic.

I want to find a low mileage 09 black GT w/moonroof and leather. if I only had time to drive to where the ones I've found are!

In all seriousness, I'd say the G8, CTS-V, SSR, and Corvette for GM's offerings. The rest...not so much. Ford would definitely have the non-v6 mustangs, SHO Taurus, and the Crown-Vic (as it is the last true body-on-frame passenger car). Chrysler would definitely have the Viper and Crossfire. I'm not so sure about the PT cruiser though.

Just think how desirable the mid 60's Impalas are, and they sold more than 1 million units in 1965. Wonder how many of those million+ are still in driveable condition today

Didn't think of that, but most definitely! It is rare enough today and is a true RWD body on frame vehicle. I'd take one over the CV or the Grand Marquis.
The MC12 was $1 million brand new in 2004. Not much of a prediction saying it will sell for that in 40-50 years.
The car market has changed so drastically in recent years, where absurd prices at the top end are the norm. Forbes ranked the top 10 most expensive production cars earlier this year and #8 was $1.1 million. Converted to 1959 money, that would be over $150,000. There were no production cars selling anywhere even remotely close to that amount back then. So a car from back then selling for that much now is a real achievement.
